The Parent and Family Engagement (PFN) Chapters bring together members who are passionate about building strong connections with Springbrook and the community—and you’re invited to be part of it!As a chapter member, you’ll have opportunities to meet others, share experiences, and play an active role in planning exciting events to supporting meaningful fundraisers; your involvement and engagement make a difference.
Even better? The work you do aids opportunity for discounted admission/tickets and free busing to signature events, making sure every person and family can take part in PFN programs, activities, and learning opportunities—without cost being a barrier.

Our Mission
It is the mission of the PFN Chapters to create meaningful opportunities that enhance family engagement, promote community inclusion, and expand the awareness and knowledge of Springbrook, NY Inc. and its Partners and Affiliates.

Members and Participation
Chapters are made up of members of the Parent and Family Network (PFN) which consists of community members and those who are currently or previously affiliated with at least one of the Springbrook programs, partners, or affiliates.
- Bi-monthly meetings take place virtually or in person, where members actively contribute to planning and discussion. Participation may include volunteering, attending events, or making donations to support family engagement efforts.
- Members are expected to be active communicators and come prepared to share ideas and information that support the chapter’s mission.
- Activities include but are not limited to workshops, support groups, social events, trips, and performances
- Each Chapter will organize a minimum of 1 signature fundraising event annually
- Chapter members will assist in the planning of family/community-based events and will volunteer at a minimum of 1 event (annually)
Chapter Goals
The goal of Parent and Family Network (PFN) chapters is to raise enough funds each year so that transportation to PFN signature events can be offered at no cost and tickets/admission can be offered at a reduced rate. PFN is committed to ensuring that everyone can participate and enjoy an inclusive community experience, without financial barriers limiting access.
Outcome of PFN Chapters
- Improved relationships between families and advocates of the organization
- Meet expectations related to a person’s community involvement and sense of belonging to the world around them.
- Consistent and increased attendance at events, programs, and activities, measured annually.
- Expand community awareness of Springbrook NY, Inc., Partners and Affiliates’ roles, responsibilities, and contacts.
- Strengthen partnerships with local companies and vendors, families and friends of Springbrook NY, Inc., and partners and affiliates to sponsor or participate in events, programs, or activities.

As the Assistant Director of Parent and Family Engagement and leader of the Parent and Family Network (PFN), Stephanie Davy promotes inclusive opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to engage in their community through fun, creative activities with their loved ones. Drawing on her social work background, Stephanie understands the value of family, community, and society as a broader system.
